Hello & a question

Dave H
>My WoodCentral hat and t-shirt arrived so I figured I better introduce myself. As long as I'm at it I also have a question.

I'm Dave H. I live in NE Wisconsin (Go Pack!). I've been turning on & off since early 2000. Had to take 2 years off while we built a new house, sold our old house, took on a major initiative at work, etc. Finally have the shop set up again and loving turning again. From what I've seen of the pics posted here, I have a long way to go. I'm in awe of what many of you are capable of.

My question is this. I have a piece of spalted hard maple I turned into a bowl. A dozen small worm holes appeared when the turning was finished. What do most of you do with the holes? Do you fill prior to finishing or leave them open?

Thanks,
Dave H
