>I purchased the new Turntek hollowing tool at the Desert woodturners symposium and had two of them break at the weld. Below is an E-Mail I sent to the company. I will keep all advised as to what they have to say.

I purchased at the desert turners Symp.
Purchased on Sat. took home and mounted on the lathe and the weld broke as I mounted. No use.
Exchanged it on Sunday.
Mon. mounted the new one on the lathe and the weld broke. No use.

I believe the tig weld is bad with low penitration and possibly should have been a mild steel weld for better copatibility of materials.

I will be taking this one to a local welder for repair.
Will you pay for the repair ?
