>That is pronounce bummer the name of the shop nail fetish. The way this works in the Congo basin is this guy is kind of the house guardian spirit. To get his attention you drive a nail in his head and scream at him. This is my entry to the Virginia Artisan Center contest titled Masks Visage and Veils. Wood is Paulownia (really takes nailing well without splitting.) lots of metal, some hyena, Dyker, and goat hide, and cotton string. Finish is that old African mask carver favorite, shoe polish. I doubt that the form is strictly classic but I did try to avoid straight lines.
