Subject:
Drying hollow forms

Devon Palmer
>Heyas all,

I'm getting ready to make a little urn for a friends departed kitty. I'm going to try and use green wood to rough out the form, but, it'll move when it dries and I'd like to be return it so that I can fit a lid to it.

Can I use the same rules as bowl turning and leave everything at 10% thickness, let it dry (will actually try and slowly microwave) and then when its down to EMC, return/rehollow it? I would think that it would be prone to flexing given the size of the base, etc.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
