Subject:
Storing wood

>Hello all,

I recently got lucky enough to save a maple tree from the firewood pile. It is already cut into aprox. 16" long logs. Would it be best to cut it into blanks, seal and store. Or, seal the ends of the logs and keep them outside until I'm ready to use them?

P.S. these logs are streaked with great Ambrosia marks and some curl.
The same person I got these from has some large diameter pecan logs and some cherry also.

Any help on storage would be greatly appreciated.

Steve
