>I visited my mom recently; she gave me this picture....This photo is a newspaper clipping of her mother's brother, Chancy Bovee. He is shown holding a violin he made in 1933. the article also mentions jewelry boxes made of "an attractive conglomeration" of four woods.

My mom has told me that members of the Bovee family were known as fine woodworkers as far back as she could remember. My mom's brother also built violins, he was taught by his uncle Chancy. According to her, "That's where you get the woodworking from...the Bovee side".

Kinda' wierd.....
