Rosewood Pen *PIC*

Jim Shaver - Oakville, Ontario
>Hi,

I am having fun working with a new pen design for me, solid ended pens. I made this one yesterday from some Brazilian Rosewood that was given to me by a good friend, Konrad Sauer. Konrad makes incredible infil planes, this wood was from his collection

This pen is also an example of what you can do by not allowing hardware to limit your design. I like the idea of a solid end pen and I am working on one with a solid end cap as well, no clip. The feel of the wood is also a nice characteristic of rosewood, itís really smooth!

Anyway, there is a form in pen turning, I took real care to try and balance the cap and the body in this one. The blank was step drilled to also allow the flexibility of conversion to a roller ball pen option.

The only limit is imagination..

Take care,
Jim
