Subject:
Ancient Kauri wood?

Mike Rubes, Apex, NC
>Hi all,

Just curious if anyone has seen this or used any of this wood. The "neat-o" factor is pretty high to me. The site claims that small pieces can be had for around $25 a board foot.

Might be really fun to get a few small pieces for pens or bottle stoppers or finials on vessels?

Anyway, just curious if anyone had heard of this or used some?

Ancient Kauri Wood

Thanks,

Mike

that's some pretty old wood far, far far from Apex, NC!
