Subject:
What's the hardest thing for you to do?

>Everyone here that turns knows that there is one thing (or maybe more) that they "just cannot do". For a long while for me, it was cut from left to right with a skew, but I seem to have conquered that now.

My current challenge is cutting multiple, consecutive beads all the same shape and size. I can roll a bead with a spindle gouge or a skew, cutting cleanly and efficiently. I mark all of the beads diameters carefully. I cut.

Some are fat, some are thin. Even though I carefully mark out widths, carefully cut downhill, I have yet to figure out the magic required to make a series of beads all look the same size.

So what's your biggest challenge?

Steven
