Subject:
My off-center chuck *PIC*

keith zimmerman, Normal IL
>By popular demand, here are some photos of the off-center chuck I designed and a member of my club put together. It is basically a screwchuck mounted on a scroll chuck that has a slot on onside that allows me to shift the center of a bowl off it's center axis.

The first photo shows the chuck in the closed position. In this orientation, it acts like any old screwchuck. The second photo shows it open with the full shift. The third photo shows a front view of the fully shifted chuck.

In case anyone is wondering, I finish the bottom with cole jaws or create a custom jam chuck to fit the off-center dish.
