>I've got a cheap pin type from Woodcraft and I use it a lot. I check my roughed out green blanks till they bottom out. More importantly I check supposedly dry blanks of very expensive exotic stuff. You might be surprised how many times a "dry" blank had a reading of 20-30. Right now I am trying to dry some lilac without splitting. I'm following the moisture on that very closely. Not so much the actual reading but the rate of change.
