I have a Oneway 1018 and a PM3520, and both gently reverse and start turning in the opposite direction without apparent distress. It makes sense to me that thoughtful programmers would allow for the possibility that human users will eventually hit the wrong switch.

One responder here reports that Oneway says that doing this is no problem, so I guess I'll start using this trick regularly.
