>Don, If the Morse taper fell out of the quill, sometimes it takes quite a blow to reseat it, making sure no foreigh matter or corrosion is in either the bore of the quill or on the taper. If the taper has a tang, be sure it is orientated correctly in the quill. If its the shorter, steeper taper where the adaptor fits into the chuck itself, possible the same but I've never had a problem with that. Cause--Gremlins? Temperature chage? corrosion?
