>Walnut oil is very well accepted by the people I sell my bowls to.
It sounds so much better to them than mineral oil (highly refined petroleum) and doesn't have the scary heavy metals like boiled linseed oil.
Plus it smells nice.
I also tell them that they can get walnut oil at most grocery stores to help maintain that nice satin finish. AND they can use it in their salad dressing too!

By the way, I get huge headaches turning walnut, but have no ill effects using walnut oil.
