>Allen We don't see it much here but on some sites there are a few turners who make pieces that are designed t make a political statment. Some are really great, some quite funny and some really hack you off depending on your point of view. It's quite interesting. Garret Van Ness and Malcolm Tibbets do some intersting work along this line. There are others that produce work that is much more subtle in the statement. Some only by title and not the actual work. Todd Hoyer's work is very deep but you would never know it until you hear him talk about it. I didn't like his work when I first saw it but after hearing him talk about the influences I started to see where he's coming from and now find it very interesting.

I know without photos and descriptions this is hard to understand. maybe someday I can put something together.
