If you made the grove deeper the bead detail would stand out a LOT more.

Sorby has a product called the "Easy Beader". I don't much care for the tool as a beading tool. But the tip of the tool is very narrow and can be used to make the depth of a grove like that a lot deeper. I would use the larger size, as that larger tool has the longest point, which keeps the bead rounding part of the tool out of the way.

You could make this same "point detail scraper" by grinding back a small scraper you might have but aren't using.
