Turning Archive 2005

>Here is a couple of pictures of my first box attempt.
We have a young woman in our yoga group who is celebrating her 18th birthday tomorrow. I turned this cherry box as a birthday present. As usual, it underwent a couple of design changes. The top started out 1/4" taller and overlapping the base. You shouldn't try to form a bead at the edge of a top without checking first for adequate thickness of material. DAMHIKT
As of now, it has two coats of Velvit Oil, both rubbed in with 400 grit wet-dry. I'll put on at least 2 more coats before I deliver it. The box is 3 3/8" high and 3 1/4" in diameter.
