>If you want to leave the area of the inclusions somewhat open then just make a few bridges or stitches to span the gaps; this will hold the piece together while letting the inclusions appear to separate the piece. Look at my website at the oak burl with inclusions that I did this way. The burl was divided into 4 parts by inclusions but by bridging it I was able to turn it. The piece sold for $2000.
