My experience with Jon and Randy at Vega has been nothing short of fantastic.

I think that the Vega 2400 is great bowl lathe in the price range. I was able to talk Randy into displaying one at the AAW symposium in Overland Park, KS this year at the Packard booth.

They are continuing to make improvements - not all of which I know. I have heard that they plan to extend the tailstock spindle so that it will go closer to Headstock. I am currently testing a 17" bed extension prototype. I needed it so that I can put a bowl steady/Steady Rest on the bed, and not compromise the placement of the tool rest. It is working great for me.

Once again a great story from Vega.
