Re: replaceing lathe bearings

>Larry, thank you for your response. I did remove the nut at the spur center end of the spindle and can see the bearing. Although my attempts to remove the pulley have failed, it is threaded onto the spindle shaft. I have sprayed WD40 on the threads last night and will try removing the pulley again today, after I finish the priority items on my honey-do-list. I am taking caution to remove these bearings. Do not want to try finding major parts for this Rockwell 46-111, I would rather just change the bearings. Like changing oil in a car without attention to detail, then ending up rebuilding the engine and replacing the gas tank also.
