>Hello Woodturners, I am going to be visiting my brother, (sometime in September) who lives in Fairfax, VI. Does anyone know of any good courses or teachers in that area. I am looking to learn about sharpening my tools, making bowls, boxes and turning burls. I have a source for the burls and would like to learn how to do things properly before I develop to many bad habits. I have a General 160 lathe and have added an extension to the outside end so I can work on items up to 19 inches in diameter. I have been working for about a year and the bug has biten. This is a fantaastic form of addiction. You never know how the wood will look when you start and when finished it can be beautiful. I would really like to learn as much as I can for safety reasons and to be able to try some of the wondeful things I see on this website. The help and suggestions here are very very much appreciated
