Turning Archive 2002

>Just caught a production prototype of the latest Oneway accessory at the Saratoga show this weekend--a two-point steadyrest made with inline skate wheels that sells for around $95 (it was $76 with the show discount).
According to Al Stirt, who was demonstrating in this particular booth area with Johannes Michelsen, the steadyrest is intended to be used with a faceplate-mounted bowl when turning the inside. I saw it as having potential for spindle support too, but I wondered how useful it would be.
Assuming the wheels are 2 1/2" in diameter, how useful would the rest be for thin spindles? What's the disadvantage of only two rollers? For that matter, is this something that bowl turners can really benefit from for bowl turning?
