At first I laughed about that but then thinking about it and maybe injecting my own meaning to that statement I feel that it’s very true. If you are making items that will see every day use for whatever purpose it was intended, its craft. But if you make something purely for display then its art. Take a simple bowl, if it displays some incredible grain or other interesting feature after turning it just may go for display only instead of its intended purpose such as for pop corn, so now its art.

Look at some of the things Larry turns. Hats, easy they’re art. Crochet hooks, although really spectacular they are intended for use so craft. Christmas Tree ornaments although used are pure art.

Sophie, who mostly makes firewood so….? :-) Aw rats another piece of firewood.
