Subject:
Sycamore Question

>Greetings all

One of my contacts in the shady world of trees (ha ha) has called me to offer me an American sycamore trunk about 5' long and between 16" and 20" in diameter. The wood is usually beautiful, (as long as the blue stain has not set in) but I have experienced much frustration with trying to actually cure the stuff.

I was wondering if anyone had experience with the curing process who might be able to offer some encouragement, or even better, some advice. The stuff burns well, but I'd rather turn than burn. ;-)
