Another option that I've used a lot...design your artwork, print it out, then encase it with an epoxy dome. I always use a design that can be cut round 0.75", 1.00", 1.25", 1.50" or 1.75" in diameter, so you can then use a Forstner bit to make a shallow counter-bore for the art to fit into...like these examples:
