I don't know if it is readily or easily available - but you can try dichloromethane or choloroform. You may also have some luck with toluene.

Some of the hot melt glues are mixtures of ethylene vinyl acetate and low density polyethylene.

Back in the lab, when we wanted to dissolve EVA and LDPE we used the more aggressive non-polar solvents.
