Re: Good accident video

Besides being CA covered at one time: I was turning a burl box elder that had bark inclusion. While turning I heard what I believed to be an electrical short/spark in the shop. I immediately shut off the lathe and everything else I had running, and was looking for/smelling ozone - nothing. After about a minute, I turned the lathe back on - AND POW - the part with the inclusion flew off and hit the wall behind me ! :\ Sure am glad I was standing to the left of the burl when I turned it back on. I did have my face shield on at the time. The only thing I could think of was what I thought was a spark/short was the turning cracked while I was cutting into it. I will always be listening for that sound in the future ! ;)
