I'm starting to wonder, when does the finial take over, or have more visual impact than the vessel? Good/bad? In the new journal, a couple of the vessels had huge pieces of fan coral on them. We also see mini sculptures on top of vessels that are close to the height of the vessel. I have more experience with practical design than art, so would appreciate anyone with formal art training to tell me if visual weight and proportion does not apply here. Oh heck, anyone with an opinion would be welcome too.
