Ditto What Leo said. I've played with 17 different skews in the last 2 months all with different grinds from convex to hollow ground, round skews straight skews and different angle both the cutting angle and the sharpening angle. I can't tell that any one has an advantage over the others except that sharper skews cut easier and are slightly more grabby. By sharp I mean the sharpness angle, not whether it's razor sharp or not. That's assumed.
