John,Have you considered cutting scrap plywood or MDF into squares of different sizes and then marking different sized circles on them,cut the circles out with a band saw or jig saw and use them as clamps after you assemble the staves?Just slide the plywood down over the lamp before the glue dries......the different sizes will adjust to the different diameters....I don't know if I am making myself clear...if not,let me know and I'll e-mail a better description of the method..Mac
