My take on scrapers () Leo Cuellar
Thank you for the link to your website, Doc. I found the articles very informative. It gives me a great starting point. I have been getting good results from traditional scrapers, having some that are mirror finished, and some that I have used either a diamond hone or fine kitchen steel to raise burrs with. I have some hardwood of indeterminate origin (possibly some type of cottonwood) that not even sanding can tame the end grain. I figured it would be a good test subject for tuning the NR scrapers.
I must say, I'm enjoying your book on chucking fixtures & jigs. It is well written and very helpful.
