Ultimately, the price is whatever the market will bear. Not the "asking market" but the actual "sales market". As you point out, used for the price of new is not worth it to you; go buy your own new one.
Again, leave your number or e-mail. If somebody gets tired of looking at the lathe (and acting PO'd), you may just get the call.
