Boxwave (as an example) has a whole line of styli, including ones with pen on one end and conductive foam tip on the other. Remember that it is your body, not the tip,that is the "capacitor", so the conductive tip needs to have an electrical connection to your hand. This is simple with a metal pen, but a bit more challenging with a wooden one.
