Dave gave the same recommendation that I was going to give - unplug the machine from any service voltage for at least 2-4 hours to allow a complete power down, including any "memory" capacitors, etc. Unless there is a "Full Reset" button on the electronic controller which performs a "cold re-boot", you should power the unit down completely, and then do a start-up after plugging the unit back in following an extended power-down period.

A call to General's customer/technical service in Canada should be made anyway, ASAP, so you get the best instructions on how to deal with similar circumstances from the folks who built the machine. For the rest of us, we are only making guesses, albeit educated guesses, on how to resolve the situation.

Good luck!
