Thanks for the lead Don. It looks like Item# 11-2102 would work fine and even handle motors up to 1 hp. The problem is it is $172.95.

I didn't see any others that would be suitable. Maybe my only option is to buy the PS upgrade kit ($120 - includes the motor, controller and mount kit) and hold on to the spare motor. I really didn't want to spend that much on a marginally designed lathe.
