I use It in many ways. You should watch a Jimmy Clewes video for some dramatic uses.
But for me, it is used as:
a sanding aid
Blending colors on wood
a cleaner
topical abrasions
acellerant for CA Glue
a thinner for shellac
There are others, but you get the point.
