I have had same thing happen to me with little flames of chips falling into the ones on the floor beneath me.
Cat bowl of water was first thing i reached for. Since then I have made a strong habit of blowing off/out the lamps from top and bottom every so often and make sure the chips beneath them are also not so piled up
