I'll second this suggestion. I consider the florescent tubes as acceptable collateral damage, but I really want to contain the mess from a broken one and the plastic cover tubes work great. I have these tubes over all the lights that are "within range" of me hitting them while moving stock around. One suggestion - Use a little packing tape to secure the end caps so they don't come off. Then, when the inevitable occurs, simply tape over the small holes at the ends and dispose of the whole mess without ever opening it.
