Inside bowl rests... ()

Peter Hyde
I made these up about a year ago. Large pair are 14" x 1 1/2" x 1/2" cold rolled steel. Smaller ones are 12" x 1 1/4" x 1/2". Radius of curve is 18". Similar to the Oneways. Best thing I ever did. In use if you position the banjo correctly the rest can simple be flipped from inside to outside without moving the banjo. The radius I find fits most of the bowls I do from 10" to 22" and still allows a pretty close position with probably max 1" tool overhang

I made pairs so that I can put the lathe in reverse and turn from the other side when I get into reversing grains. Total cost for 6 rests (2 went to the welder) was around $80
