Hook tooth vs Skip Tooth ()

Doc, a hook-tooth blade has about a 10 degree positive rake, while a true skip-tooth has a "0" rake. The skip tooth is far less agressive, but still cuts rapidly. I think a 3 TPI hook-tooth is too agressive for cutting bowl blanks...especially considering the change in grain direction.
