Hi Charlie! Your pieces look great. Thanks for the info on esthetics at different scales also. Like Ellis, it really made me think. I've made some bowls and plates about the same size as the ones you posted and it was quite fun.
Ellis, I'm betting Charlie has some cool tools he's developed for these, but I tried just using some tools I had and they worked quite well. A Spindle Master worked
well and came in quite handy with it's sharp point. I even put some texturing around the rims with a Pounce Tool (see link below, if you're interested). That fine texturing usually shocks the heck out of people. I use it sort of like a very mini Sorby texturing tool. Be careful though, a light touch will help keep the pounce tool in one piece.
