Interesting theory about the aesthetics changing at tiny scale. I guess I'll have to make a few and see if I get a better sense of what you're saying. I'm just wondering if you have any tips on how to make these minis. They look like side grain, but you mentioned using a piece of dowel. Do you need mini tools, too? I have a set of really mini tools that I made from some Irish nails. I imagine those would work, especially for the finest details.
