I hand write wood, month and year, and my name. I may become collectable some year, so it might be of importance. I get a lot of people asking what woods do I use. Fire wood gets a chuckle, but customers want to know. I like the date as I can see where I have been. I do get pieces that last a year or two before selling. It helps me see what sells. Most of the time it has more to do with color spectrum than any thing else. If it has been around too long, I drop the price.
