Does it count if your Mother was involved?
I got a bb gun for Christmas when I was seven or eight. My Mother, a nice quiet nurse, hated squirrels and rats and being an excellent shot loved squirrel hunting. One afternoon shortly after Christmas I wanted to go shoot my new bb gun but it was cold and nasty out. Mom and I were home alone and she decided she wanted new tree decorations so after removing the ones she wanted to keep we went in the kitchen and proceeded to shoot from the kitchen through the dining room into the parlor blasting the ornaments off the tree. Nothing bonds a boy and his Mother like big game hunting. All went well until we went to clean up the mess and Mom remembered the tree was in front of the picture window.
Years later she would chuckled and my Father would get a stern look whenever the incident was brought up. I wonder just what would have happened if I was the only one involved.
