Grew up on a farm:

Found a fifteen or twenty pound bag of black powder left over from using a powder wedge on huge logs. (That was truly cool)

Used the powder to create pipe bombs. Killed fish. Split open trees.

Rode a sled for miles behind a car. (being driven by my Dad.)

Took my Grandfather dove hunting when he had Alzheimer's. He mistook bumble bees for doves. Who knew you could blow them out of the air at about ten feet. He was completely daffy, but he sure could shoot. He had a great time but was furious that i could not find the "doves" he killed. Said it was a sin to shoot them if you weren't going to bag them and eat them .
