Thanks Mike. I have had the Bees wax and mineral oil for awhile meaning to make up a mix that I had seen recommended somewhere. I just had not thought of using a solvent to wipe between grits until your excellent article. So far I have made some real cool dust and chips, a couple of so-so boxes and three pens that came out fairly well.
Boxes are the main thing I'm interested in right now. Time in the shop has been real hard to come by. Thanks for the advice.
