Lee Valley has recently started carrying the Axminster chucks & I'm considering picking one up for bowl coring. Â I currently have 3 of the Supernova 2's and I'm thinking of getting the Goliath (4-7/8" diameter body) and whichever jaws fit the 4"-6" range.

My 2nd option is to simply pick up a set of #4 jaws by Oneway (i believe they'll fit my SN2's). Â The thing that stops me from doing this is those jaws are a larger diameter than the SN2 body and I worry about them being properly supported. The 4-7/8" Goliath would eliminate this issue.

A 3rd option would be to pick up a Stronghold and the #4 jaws but this is more money than I'd like to spend.

So, what are your thoughts? If the #4 jaws by Oneway will fit my SN2's, is that sufficient or am I better getting a larger diameter chuck body and if so, is the Goliath by Axminster up to the job?
