Clifton,
I agree that the self feeding should be in large print. It catches by surprise the first few times it happens. You probably have figured out that it happens when you transition from cutting face grain to end grain. The only way to stop the self feeding is speed. Turn the speed down until you are controlling the rate of feed rather than the tool controlling the feed rate (self feeding) through this transition area.
