Dale,
This is the one thing that turned coring from apprehension to almost a breeze.
My blade drops 3/8ths when fully extended. About half way through coring,
the blank would try to crawl on top of the blade. Once I started setting up with the
blade on center when fully extended, problem solved. This one little nugget changed the
whole coring process. Sometimes I feel the blade is self feeding and I have to pull back on the handle to slow it down. I don’t remember reading about this anywhere, but it should be in bold print. I like your idea of the stop collar, I think I’ll go get one.
