Grip 2nd time on a twice turned piece? () George Guadiane
If it's a hollow form I put it back between centers - cone in the opening and live center in the hole I put in at the beginning. I re-true the tenon so that the opening is fairly well centered. That makes hollowing easier.
For natural edge bowls I use a large (inside) jamb chuck and the point to re-true the foot.
For regular bowls I use a flat chuck to get a "nearest true" center, re-true the tenon and go back to work.
Hope that helps.
